Material: Mixed Species - PALLET WOOD
Plank Face Height: Varies between 3" - 5.75"
Plank Length: Varies between 36" - 42"
Plank Thickness: Varies between 1/4" to 1"
Installation: Moderate - Difficult
Reclaimed pallet wood is the essence of our humble beginnings and is still offered as a DIY Material Source or professionally installed. The dimensional variation of our pallet wood product is so much of what gives this material's aesthetic a rough and rustic look. Hand-finishes can enhance or soften a variety of aspects of pallet wood, as well as each planks subtle imperfections, textures and details such as remaining nail heads and nail holes. While this material's original use (as pallet boards) lends much to the 'aged' character of the wood, the variation of wood species, weight and dimensions from board to board can, however, make for a moderately strenuous & challenging installation process.

Material: Mixed Species - Barn Wood (Sourced:Ohio)
Plank Face Height: Varies between 3" - 8"
Plank Length: Up to 108""
Plank Thickness: Mostly consistent at 5/8" (Shiplap consistent at 1/2")
Installation: Easy to Moderate
American Barn Wood and crisp white Shiplap are among the most classic & timeless wall cladding materials. Whether your goal is to honor the beautiful character of the past with real, genuine, antique barn wood sourced from the heart of the Midwest, or usher in a clean and purely simple feel of traditional farmhouse chic with white shiplap, your space will be transformed in a unique but never over-done fashion. While shiplap is cut and crafted for consistency and easy installation, our American Barn Wood is not quite as constrained by total manufacturing perfection, but is still well milled and more consistent than Pallet Wood. Face heights of our Barn Wood go beyond that of our Pallet Wood, in that it can include massive boards that can be 8 inches wide and up to 9 feet in length, making quite a visual impact. On the other hand, our Shiplap's face heights and lengths are perfectly uniform and consistent, making for more of a "backdrop" than a "feature". Finally, both materials are relative uncomplicated to install, with one of the only real challenges being that of the sheer weight of some planks of Barn Wood (usually those that are denser wood species, and have wider face heights.)
